Club emcee: (In Cantonese) Ladies & Gentlemen welcome to the Oriental Pearl Palace (night club name). It is great honour to have you all here tonight.
I know you have all been anxiously waiting and we are proud to present to you, our newest star Lily...
Band starts playing the introduction of the song "Ni zhe Me Shuo". Spotlight is on Lily. As she attempts to sing the first line. Another voice appears. Spotlight moves to Orchid.
Orchid sings Ni Zhe Me Shuo and moves downstage flirt with her audience. After the song Ni Zhe Me Shuo. She whispers to herself (of course heard by the audiences)
Orchid: (In Cantonese) Hmph! Nei oi tong Lan Fa, Orchid ngo dao? Nei tong ngo tui gong chut wu ar? Nei mei gao pan ah siu mui mui. Dang duo sap nin la! Hahahahahah!
Translation: Hmph! You dare challenge THE ORCHID? You think I've retired from my game? You are not at my level yet little girl!
You'd need to wait for another 10 years then we'll see. Hahahahah!
Orchid snaps her finger at the band and the band starts playing the song Carmen. Orchid continues singing and flirting with the audience.
Towards the end of the song, she chokes and looks around in horror. Lily, being good hearted, jumps in and finishes the song for her.
Orchid is not happy and walks onto stage and sings the first line of Jin Tian Bu Hui Jia to try and steal her limelight back.
Orchid and Lily engages in a duet/song battle and tries to outdo each other. Spotlight is on Lily while a dimmer light (could be another color) follows Orchid. This is to signify that Lily is better/shining more brightly compared to Orchid.
Orchid realises that she is no match for Lily. They finish the song together and in anguish, Orchid says (in Cantonese : This time I'll let you win, but there won't be a next time! she walks off stage.
In the end, Lily invites Orchid up to stage for "Cabaret" and they become friends...
